Born from the passionate wrestling culture of Puerto Rico and forged through the independent wrestling scene in Texas, Kendrick Alma, better known as “El Radical,” is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler who has built his name through hard-hitting matches, determination, and an unmistakable connection to his roots. Kendrick Alma began making his mark in Puerto Rico before taking his talents to Texas, where he competed for promotions including AAPW, Loko Wrestling, Dog Pound Championship Wrestling and TSW. His journey between Puerto Rico and Texas has allowed him to represent the island while sharing the ring with a wide variety of wrestlers from different backgrounds. In 2021, Alma was recognized as one of the Puerto Rican talents competing in Texas, while continuing to be featured in Puerto Rico’s wrestling scene. The name “El Radical” became closely associated with Alma as he continued developing his identity. He was later featured as part of the roster of the Organización Internacional de Lucha (OIL) in Puerto Rico alongside established names from the island’s wrestling scene. One of his notable Puerto Rico appearances came in 2022, when “El Radical” Kendrick Alma was announced to face LAWE World Heavyweight Champion Pedro Portillo III in the main event of Ponce Pro Wrestling School’s second anniversary event. Alma continued expanding his presence in Texas, competing for promotions such as Loko Wrestling. In 2023, he was announced for Loko Wrestling’s The Bigger Picture in Houston, facing Troy McCoy. He also shared the ring with veteran Savio Vega, including a documented 2023 Loko Wrestling match. His story was later featured on Drinkin at MO’s, where Alma discussed his Puerto Rican wrestling roots, his experiences wrestling throughout Texas, his work with Loko Wrestling, and his return to Puerto Rico to compete for RCW Lucha Libre. More than a wrestler representing two places, Kendrick Alma represents the connection between Puerto Rican lucha libre and the Texas independent wrestling scene. With the attitude of El Radical, the pride of his Puerto Rican heritage, and years of experience fighting for his place in the business, Alma continues to carve out his own path—one match at a time.
